Oxstory Terms of Use

1. Nature of Services

Oxstory is an educational tool for personal development that helps track individual growth through short lessons, small exercises, daily suggestions, and activity logs. Goals and reports are tools for activity tracking and do not constitute clinical evaluation, mental health diagnosis, or assessment of your personal worth.

2. Non-Provision of Medical Services and Responsibility for Exercises

Oxstory does not provide medical, psychiatric, psychotherapeutic, diagnostic, or treatment services, and is not a substitute for consulting qualified doctors, psychologists, or other medical professionals. Use of the app does not create any therapeutic relationship between you and the provider, content creators, or virtual avatars.

Exercises, suggestions, stories, and any potential AI-generated content are provided for general use and are not based on a clinical evaluation of your condition. Oxstory does not guarantee cure of an illness, specific outcomes, or the suitability of all exercises for all individuals. Mascots and characters featured in the app are virtual entities and are not human professionals or health supervisors.

Selecting an exercise, deciding to perform or stop it, and the manner of execution are your responsibility. Before performing any exercise, read its instructions and consider your physical, mental, and environmental conditions. To complete a goal or earn energy, do not feel obliged to perform an exercise that is unsuitable or harmful to you. You can stop doing an exercise at any time.

If you doubt the suitability of an exercise for your health or ongoing treatment, consult a relevant specialist before attempting it. If an exercise causes pain, severe discomfort, or worsens symptoms, stop it and seek professional help if necessary. Do not stop or alter prescribed medical treatment or medication based on Oxstory content.

Oxstory does not monitor your status clinically or in real-time, and is not designed for crisis response or emergency situations. In case of immediate danger to yourself or others, contact emergency services in your area. Recording information or sending messages to support does not constitute an emergency request for help.

3. Age Requirements

Use of Oxstory is intended for individuals aged 18 and older. By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of agreeing to this contract. Persons under 18 are not permitted to use this version.

4. Educational Stories

Oxstory's stories are educational scenarios written to explain everyday situations and the potential application of exercises. These stories are not records of actual user experiences, scientific proof of effectiveness, or guarantees of similar results. Characters and events in the stories should not be construed as testimonials or endorsements by real users.

5. Guest Use and User Account

You can start using the application as a guest. Creating an account is optional, except for features where registration is explicitly required. Note that in guest mode, access to data depends solely on your device and is not linked to a permanent account; therefore, deleting the app, clearing its data, or losing the device before registration will cause permanent loss of access to this information and recovery will not be possible.

When creating an account, guest mode data present on the device will be transferred to your account according to the process indicated in the app. This transfer includes only data available on the device and does not mean previously deleted information can be recovered. Technical and analytical data processing and storage details are explained in the Privacy Policy.

To create an account, enter the required information accurately, protect your login credentials, and do not use others' accounts without permission. If you notice unauthorized access, report it to [email protected]. The ability to edit information depends on current app features and your legal rights.

6. Termination of Use and Account Deletion

You can stop using the service at any time and request account deletion through account settings in the app or by sending a request to [email protected]. Uninstalling the app from your device does not automatically delete your account, and data deletion details are subject to the Privacy Policy.

7. Goals and Energy

Logging goals and performance helps you track your activities. Energy is calculated according to the rules announced in the app and recorded activities. Energy is not a metric of health, psychological diagnosis, or personal worth.

Energy and other gamification metrics have no monetary value and cannot be bought, sold, transferred, withdrawn, or spent.

Important rule changes will be communicated through the app. Details on goal logging, performance, and earning energy are provided in the guide for those specific features.

8. AI-Generated Content

In certain parts of Oxstory, artificial intelligence technology and virtual companion characters (such as Ox and Oxy) may be used to simplify exercise explanations, tailor examples based on your responses, answer operational questions, or help adjust daily activity volume. By using these features, you accept that:

No Diagnosis or Judgment: AI in Oxstory is merely a virtual guide limited to the exercise framework; this technology is not a human specialist or therapist, does not judge your character, and provides no psychological diagnosis.

Possibility of Error and Retaining Discretion: Content customization via AI does not constitute a comprehensive assessment of your status. Generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable and does not constitute professional or medical advice. The final decision is always yours, and you must review examples for suitability before execution, with the option to reject or modify suggestions.

Privacy and Input Data: Do not enter unnecessary sensitive, confidential, or personally identifiable information of others into text input fields. Details regarding data used, third-party providers, and processing methods are explained in the Privacy Policy.

9. Content Ownership and License

Software rights, designs, characters, the Oxstory name and logo, exercises, and provided content belong to their legal owners. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for non-commercial use of services under these terms.

Reproduction, sale, or commercial exploitation of content without permission from the rights holder is prohibited, except as allowed by law. Sharing via features specifically provided by the app is permitted. Third-party or open-source components are subject to their respective licenses.

Your rights to content you submit remain preserved. To the extent necessary to deliver requested features, you grant permission to store, process, and display this content in your account or device. Personal data processing is subject to the Privacy Policy. This permission does not include public release or commercial marketing use of your data.

To report intellectual property infringement, send details of the disputed content, its location, and your contact information to [email protected].

10. Feedback

You can share comments, suggestions, and issues with us through designated communication channels. We use feedback to resolve issues and improve the product. Submitting feedback does not automatically grant permission to publish your name, image, or personal experience in promotional materials.

11. Notifications and Third-Party Services

With your permission, notifications such as daily suggestion reminders will be sent. You can manage notification settings in the app or on your device. Timely delivery of notifications depends on device settings, connectivity, and OS services, and is not guaranteed.

To provide services, we may use third-party technical providers, infrastructure, or login methods. Information processing by these providers is detailed in the Privacy Policy. If you voluntarily visit or use an independent third-party site or service, their terms apply to your interaction. This does not remove our legal obligations regarding providers we use.

12. Cost of Use

The current version of Oxstory is offered without subscriptions or in-app purchases. If paid features are added, pricing, payment terms, and subscription details (duration, renewal, cancellation, refunds) will be displayed prior to purchase. Accepting these terms alone does not constitute a purchase or payment authorization. Internet and device service costs are your responsibility.

13. Access Restriction and Dispute Resolution

In case of terms violation, service security threats, or legal requirements, access may be proportionately restricted or suspended. Where feasible and lawful, the reason for action and appeal options will be communicated. In urgent security situations, action may be taken prior to notice. You are not permitted to use bots, manipulate scores, reverse-engineer the app, or upload illegal or offensive content. Violations may lead to proportionate access restrictions or account termination.

14. Service Modifications and Limitation of Liability

For maintenance and improvement of Oxstory, features may change or services may be temporarily unavailable. We strive to notify you of significant changes affecting your use in a timely manner. Certain features may depend on app version, OS, or release region.

Services are provided on an "As-Is" basis, and Oxstory accepts no liability for indirect damages, loss of data, or failure to achieve personal results.

Uninterrupted or error-free performance and achieving specific personal outcomes are not guaranteed. Liability of both parties is subject to applicable laws. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liabilities that cannot be limited by law.

15. Terms Modifications

These terms may be updated. The date of the last change and effective date will be listed at the top of the page. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or appropriate channels before taking effect, and renewed acceptance will be requested where necessary. If you disagree with updated terms, you may stop using the service and request account deletion if registered.
